Learning industry pay: have you had your say?
Blue Eskimo’s sixth annual survey of work and pay in the learning sector is about to close – have you made your voice count?
Blue Eskimo is making the final call for people to take part in the company’s annual survey of work, pay, benefits and more within the learning industry.
Nick Bate, director at Blue Eskimo, says that the survey’s success has been down to the support of those working within the industry. “The survey provides vital information to both employers and employees alike,” says Bate. “We couldn’t complete this survey without the support of everyone within the industry, so we’re always grateful that so many people take a few minutes to tell us about their last working year.”
The learning sector’s benchmark for pay and benefits
The survey is the only one of its kind within the sector. For more than half a decade it has provided the most reliable information about work, pay, benefits and more for those working in learning, e-learning, training and learning and development. The results of the survey are made available free of charge, on Blue Eskimo’s website – and at the Learning Technologies conference and exhibition.
A chance to win an iPad Mini
Those who take part are entered into a draw to win an Apple iPad Mini, worth £349. “We’re always grateful for people’s support,” says Bate, “and the prize draw is a way of giving everyone an equal chance at a really good thank you present.”
What everyone wants to know
According to Bate, a key reason for the success of the survey is that it provides answers to questions that everyone asks. “It’s never been more important to keep your finger on the pulse of pay scales,” says Bate. “Our survey tells people what others in similar roles are paid, what benefits people get, what hours they work, whether they had to take a pay cut to secure a new role – and much more.”
The survey can be taken online and is open to anyone working in the learning sector. It closes on Wednesday 11 December.
