Learning professionals asked to help build clearer picture of the sector
Specialist recruitment company Blue Eskimo is asking learning professionals to take part in its eighth annual work and salary survey.
Blue Eskimo’s survey runs every year – and is recognised as the benchmark for the learning industry’s salary and work information. As an incentive for taking part, participants have a chance to win an Apple Watch Sport – worth up to £339.
Nick Jones, director at Blue Eskimo, says that the survey has been supported superbly by learning professionals. “We get an excellent response every year,” says Jones, “which has helped us to build a comprehensive and detailed view of people’s pay and attitudes to work which spans almost a decade.”
Every previous copy of the survey is available online at the Blue Eskimo website. “We feel it’s important to keep the older surveys online for reference,” says Jones.
This year, as an incentive for people to take part, the company is offering an Apple Watch Sport, worth up to £339. The only qualification for taking part in the survey is that the person must work in a training, e-learning or learning & development organisation or learning department.
Blue Eskimo publishes the results online, free – and a copy will be made available to members of the Learning & Performance Institute – and will be distributed at February’s Learning Technologies conference and exhibition, which runs from 3–4 February 2016 at Olympia, in London.
Jones believes that the survey demonstrates just one way in which Blue Eskimo contributes to the learning sector. “We’re very much part of the learning sector, not just part of the recruitment sector,” says Jones. “Our background is learning. We really do understand the sector and, for the last 12 years, it’s the only sector in which we’ve worked.”
The survey is open now and can be taken online – it runs from now until 11 December and takes less than 5 minutes to complete. The results of the survey will be available early in 2016 – and the winner of the Apple Watch Sport should receive the watch in time for Christmas.
