Blue Eskimo UK’s number one source for learning jobs, suggest survey
Blue Eskimo’s most recent annual work and salary survey suggests that the company has become the learning sector’s top choice for finding new jobs.
Every year since 2008, Blue Eskimo, the learning sector’s recruitment specialist, has undertaken a comprehensive study of pay, benefits and attitudes to work – publishing the results free online.
This year’s survey saw Blue Eskimo take the lead as the top source for people in the sector who are looking for a new job.
According to Nick Jones, director at Blue Eskimo, this is as a result of more than a decade of “providing great service, attention to detail – and matching the best people with the right opportunities.”
In the survey, when asked ‘when looking for a new job, which sources would you use?’ almost 82% of people chose Blue Eskimo.
Following behind Blue Eskimo were LinkedIn (79%), online job boards (73%), other recruitment agencies (50%), employers direct (48%) and Twitter (9%).
“Of course,” says Jones, “we know that job-seekers sometimes use more than one source to find a job – and that’s fine – which is why we’re also active on LinkedIn, Twitter and job boards. For example, we have around 2,500 followers on LinkedIn. We’re actually connected to many more people than that, too.”
Blue Eskimo has been operating since 2003 and has long been recognised as the leader in the sector. The results from this year’s survey confirm that the company is the top choice for job-seekers in the UK.
“The fact is,” concludes Jones, “people go to the company they trust, the company which will get them the best job and the company’s which is best-connected.”

The research was undertaken and complied independently, by Labrow Marketing, for Blue Eskimo. 694 people responded, with 92% coming from across the UK – around three quarters from the private sector.
