More charities spread the cost of eLearning with the Charity Learning Consortium
The Charity Learning Consortium continues to go from strength to strength, welcoming several new charities into the Consortium – the largest UK based group of Third Sector organisations collaborating to share the cost of eLearning. They join almost 80 membership charities in benefitting from networking, support and advice, as well as a comprehensive range of eLearning.
Several new charities have recently joined the Charity Learning Consortium - the largest UK based group of charities working together to share the cost of eLearning.
Martin Baker, Managing Director and founder of the CLC, is passionate about providing cost effective eLearning to the Third Sector, and extols the benefits of the Consortium’s collaborative approach: “Together we are far stronger than one person working alone,” he says.
Charities normally join the Consortium because of the cost savings on offer, he explains, but they soon realise there are a wealth of other benefits to working together, such as benchmarking, learning from others, and sharing resources and knowledge: “A refreshing openness amongst members, and a willingness to collaborate, share and learn together is at the heart of what we do,” he says.
The new members joining the Charity Learning Consortium are as follows:
Catch 22 - Which works with young people who find themselves in difficult situations.
Blue Cross - Which is dedicated to improving the lives of sick and unwanted pets.
Sports Coach UK - Which supports partners to recruit, develop and retain the coaches they need to achieve their sports participation and performance.
The Charities Evaluation Service - the UK's leading provider of support and advice on quality and evaluation systems for the voluntary sector.
Abaana - A Christian charity which aims to show young people here that they can make a difference to the children in Africa.
And NAVCA - the national voice of local support and development organisations in England, which champions and strengthens voluntary and community action by supporting members in their work with over 160,000 local charities and community groups.
Charities who are interested in finding out more about the Charity Learning Consortium are welcome to join our free seminar on 11 May in London, when Sean Cooter of the RSPCA will be talking about eLearning at the popular animal welfare charity. Please click here to request a place.
