The Learning Company International (LCI) joins CLO100 as Community Partner to help learning leaders turn capability into strategic impact

The partnership will connect CLO100 members with LCI’s practical expertise in developing strategic learning capability, while creating a clearer route from professional development to externally recognised impact.

CLO100, the professional home for strategic learning leaders, has announced LCI as its newest Community Partner.

The partnership brings together CLO100’s growing international community of senior learning leaders with LCI’s experience of helping organisations strengthen the strategic contribution, commercial relevance and practical impact of learning and development.

For many L&D professionals, the challenge is no longer simply delivering high-quality learning. It is building the influence, judgement and confidence to work credibly with senior stakeholders; aligning learning investment to business priorities; and demonstrating the contribution learning makes to organisational performance.

LCI will support the CLO100 community with insight, practical expertise and opportunities for members to develop these capabilities through their own work and live organisational challenges. The partnership will also create a route for appropriate LCI clients and participants to explore CLO100 Community Membership and, where ready, the CLO100 Experience Assessment.

The CLO100 Experience Assessment recognises strategic L&D leadership through evidence of commercial acumen, strategic alignment, demonstrable impact and reflective leadership practice. Rather than rewarding attendance on a programme, it is designed to recognise leaders who can show the difference they have made in a real organisational context.

“LCI is a particularly strong fit for the CLO100 community because its work is rooted in practical application,” said Robert Wagner, Partnership Director at CLO100.

“Our members are ambitious learning leaders who want to move beyond being seen as providers of training and become trusted business partners. LCI understands that progression: developing the capability to lead strategically, make sound judgements, influence stakeholders and demonstrate meaningful impact.”

He added: “This partnership gives members access to expertise that supports that journey in a practical way.”

Damian Briggs of LCI said: “We are pleased to join CLO100 as a Community Partner. It brings together learning leaders who are serious about raising the quality of thinking, leadership and decision-making across L&D.”

“LCI helps people move from complexity to clarity and from intention to action. For learning leaders, that means connecting learning to business priorities, engaging stakeholders more effectively and creating work that stands up to scrutiny.”

Richard Nixon of LCI added: “Professional development has the greatest value when it changes what people are able to do in the real world. We see the opportunity to help CLO100 members build strategic capability through live organisational priorities, rather than treating development as something separate from the work itself.”

CLO100 Community Membership is designed for Learning Leaders and aspiring leaders who want to expand their professional network, access practical insight and learn alongside peers working across sectors.

Members have access to in-person meet-ups, monthly webinars, exclusive interviews, peer-to-peer mentoring, group coaching and member benefits.

Through the partnership, LCI and CLO100 will create opportunities to share expertise, support member learning and create practical pathways for organisations seeking to strengthen the strategic maturity of their learning function.

For L&D leaders, the message is simple: building strategic credibility is not solely about knowing more. It is about applying sound judgement, creating alignment with the organisation’s priorities, learning from peers and being able to show the impact of the work.
