Driven to Distraction II questions the attitudes so conducive to distracted driving. It shows how the only-for-a-second mindset is fatally misguided and debunks the notion of multi-tasking. It illustrates how one-second of inattention can be calamitous by calculating the distance a car travels in that second and citing the number of decisions a driver has to make. The program’s tragic ending is designed to shake up complacent drivers and spur them on to paying greater attention behind the wheel.
