DuPont Sustainable Solutions has released two new crane training programs to educate employees about crane safety and help organizations comply with OSHA crane standards. The programs are Overhead & Gantry Cranes and Cranes in Construction.
Overhead & Gantry Cranes uses real-life informative visuals to give employees a close-up look at bridge and gantry crane systems and supports OSHA Standard CFR 1910.179. It describes safe work practices, including periodic and daily pre-operational inspections, how to rig and move a load, and how to prepare and execute a lift.
Cranes in Construction presents the differences between mobile, tower and crawler cranes and helps employees understand the responsibilities of each crane crew member. It explores the eight most common hazards associated with these types of cranes and will help organizations comply with OSHA’s Cranes In Construction Standard 29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC.
Program elements for both Cranes in Construction and Overhead & Gantry Cranes include a DVD, a leader’s guide and a customizable PowerPoint presentation. Both programs are available now in English and will be available in Spanish and Portuguese. Additional information is available by calling 800-861-7668 or emailing sales@training.dupont.com.
