The group, all senior marketing professionals, achieved either merit or pass grades.

Econsultancy’s MSc in Digital Marketing Communications was launched in 2007 as a three-year part-time programme designed specifically for digital professionals. Accredited by Manchester Metropolitan University and endorsed by number of industry bodies, including BIMA and the IAB, the course is the first of its kind. It combines industry-led training and sound academic principles to deliver a qualification which is highly relevant, immediately applicable and internationally recognised.

David Edmundson-Bird, Programme Director at MMU, commented “This is a demanding course which brings together industry and academic expertise in an innovative structure to deliver a new type of professional education. Working and studying at this level is a real challenge and the graduates have achieved great results. We are extremely proud of their success.”

Craig Hanna, Training Director at Econsultancy commented, ‘It’s extremely rewarding to see the partnership between Econsultancy and MMU delivering real benefit to our delegates and we’re very excited to see our first group graduate. After three years, the course is fulfilling its promise to evolve with the industry and this first intake have been invaluable pioneers, setting the standard for the future.”

Paul Moloney, Managing Director at CoastAMS and Econsultancy MSc graduate, said, “I have a busy work schedule, and there are times when studying is bottom of the priority list, but I’ve seen real benefits from the MSc, both personally and for my business, and the effort has proved worthwhile. I would recommend the course to digital professionals at any stage in their careers – it provides you with the space to learn new skills, consolidate your knowledge and re-evaluate your established ways of working, often with surprising (and inspiring) results.”

Since launching the MSc in Digital Marketing Communications, Econsultancy has added further programmes to its portfolio, including the MSc in Internet Retailing.
