Internet marketing and training specialists Econsultancy have received industry endorsement for their groundbreaking MSc in Digital Publishing, a professional qualification that covers every aspect of digital publishing.
Aimed at publishing professionals who want to develop into a leadership role and meet the challenges of moving towards digital revenue models, the course is accredited by Manchester Metropolitan University and led by Tim Tucker, the former online group senior editor of Future Publishing, who has over 10 years experience in the online publishing world.
The MSc has been endorsed by the Specialised Information Publishers Association (SIPA UK) and the Association of Publishing Agencies (APA). Commenting on the course, Rory Brown, managing director, Briefing Media Ltd and board member of SIPA said, "The world of publishing and media is currently in the midst of a great transition. The move from an analogue, broadcast world to a digital, networked one radically disrupts many business models. It also fundamentally alters the skill-sets that strategic publishing managers need to move their businesses forwards."
"SIPA UK applauds Econsultancy's development of their MSc in Digital Publishing. We believe the timing is right and are happy to formally endorse the great programme they have put together."
Julia Hutchison, COO at the APA, added "I am delighted to partner with Econsultancy as they launch a masters degree in Digital Publishing. It is essential we ensure that the next generation of publishers posses the skills required to maintain the high standards that have been set in this industry."
Both endorsement partners are offering members a 10% discount on published fees and this offer can be combined with the Econsultancy early application deal whereby early application and payment of a £500 deposit secures delegates £450 off the course fees.
The new MSc builds on the success of existing Econsultancy professional qualification programmes including the MSc in MSc in Digital Marketing Communications and the MSc in Internet Retailing.
