Learning in ever-smaller, bite-sized amounts
Ali Soper, Creative Director from MicroLearn, at LTSF19 talks about the shift to consuming learning in ever-smaller, bite-sized amounts.
At the recent Learning Technologies Summer Forum in London Learning News interviewed Ali Soper, Creative Director and Co-founder of MicroLearn, about the L&D's shift to consuming learning in smaller, bite-sized amounts.
We asked Ali about the reasons why microlearning is popular and about the issues in ensuring learners still gain the depth of skills needed to do their jobs. Ali talks about how as consumers outside of work we are naturally tending towards consuming all forms of content in smaller amounts, 'snacking' on content and browsing across different platforms and types of content.
Ali makes the point that microlearning isn't just chopping up longer-form courses into smaller pieces, rather it's best done by creating content in a compact, focused and relevant way.
