At the end of a busy two days at Learning Technologies 2024, Donald H Taylor shares his top takeaways from chairing the conference and his thoughts on the top priority for L&D for the year ahead.
Don points to L&D remaining focused on supporing business: “The top priority for L&D for the year ahead is focus. There's so much noise, there's so much talk, around things including AI, that it's easy to get distracted. That won't do anybody any favours. Stay focused on the business strategies and how to support them.”
On how AI has shown itself across the event, Don explains: “We've had a mixture of AI and non-AI sessions, but what's happend is whereas last year AI was a single topic in a conversation, now it's something like marble running like a thread through a lot of the other ones. It's moved from being the sole point of attention to being the way of getting other things done.”
