LEO is delighted to announce that it has won an International E-Learning Award with our client NEMA in the mobile learning category of the Business Division awards.

Our Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC) Essentials course was created to equip disaster workers with the vital information and resources they need during emergencies. It is dedicated to interstate, intrastate and international mutual aid, enabling workers to mitigate, prepare for, respond to and assist in the recovery of disaster-affected areas.

This award follows the launch of the EMAC Essentials app on the Apple and Android app stores in early 2015, enabling the public to download these apps to assist with the disaster management process.

Awards committee chair Dr. David Guralnick said: “This year's competition was incredibly competitive, with a large number of high-quality submissions. The products that were submitted used a variety of advanced and innovative techniques to improve learning and performance."

This year’s winners were announced at the International Conference on E-Learning in the Workplace (ICELW) in New York.
