LEO Learning, a market leader in global learning strategy, content, and technology, has announced its plan for LTDX 2.0, the digital learning event taking place from 21 June to 2 July 2021 in place of the usual in-person Learning Technologies Summer Forum.

Experts and thought leaders from LEO Learning, as well as its parent company, Learning Technologies Group (LTG), will present live virtual knowledge-sharing sessions on gamification and learning personalization, as well as giving a sneak peek at LEO’s upcoming multi-player learning app, Genius.

Details of the two speaker sessions are below.

Topic: This Time It’s Personal: 3 Models of Learning Personalization
When: Wednesday, June 23 at 13:15–14:00
Presented by: LEO’s Strategic Consulting Lead, Rose Benedicks, and Lead Learning Designer, Derek Phillips, PhD
Session in brief: The Information Age is coming to a close, and we’re now at the cusp of the Experience Age, where we have high expectations that learning experiences are truly “for me.” The presenters will share a broader, more dynamic definition of learning personalization, as well as explore three models for personalizing learning.

Topic: Next-Level Gamification Strategies for Learning Engagement in a Hybrid World
When: Monday, June 28 at 13:15–14:00
Presented by: Piers Lea, Chief Strategy Officer at LTG, and LEO’s Rich Calcutt, Learning Consultant and Sophie Miller, Head of Client Engagement
Session in brief: Living and learning at a distance feels more and more like the new norm. But even as we’re physically separated, great moments in games can bring learners together. In this session, you’ll discover LEO’s framework for thinking about multiplayer games, and how to create new and novel experiences by applying this methodology to suit different learning needs.
Plus: Get a first look at Genius, a multiplayer learning app that combines microlearning with gamification techniques like leaderboards and friendly competition to increase engagement and knowledge retention.

“We’re excited to attend and present at LTDX 2.0,” said Sophie Miller, LEO’s Head of Client Engagement. “We all know about the unprecedented challenges and changes that L&D professionals have had to endure in recent times. As we emerge from the pandemic and look to find new and efficient ways to connect, engaging our hybrid and, in many cases, largely remote workforce, will involve a mindset shift. Gamification and personalization aren’t new; how we think about them in 2021 and beyond is.”

With over 100 live sessions from 180 speakers across eight themes, and entirely online, the 10-day LTDX 2.0 program will look at “the principles of workplace learning, and putting them into practice, emphasizing the new workplace that we’re entering as we emerge from the pandemic.”
