Mentoring takes centre stage in Marshall’s new eLearning course with Bob Garvey
Marshall E-Learning are delighted to announce that we have developed a ‘one-stop’ mentoring portal designed to give mentors and mentees a solid foundation for embarking on a mentoring programme. Developed in partnership with Professor Bob Garvey, one of Europe’s leading academic practitioners of coaching and mentoring, this new course will guide you through a range of expert content on various mentoring topics.
This course is designed for a range of different audiences, i.e. mentors/mentees looking for more in-depth training in the subject, those looking to create a mentorship scheme, or those merely curious about the process. Whichever it is, you’ll find this portal has something for you.
David Marshall, Owner at Marshall E-Learning said ‘We’re so pleased to have worked with Bob Garvey on this exciting new course. The substantial amount of video footage that accompanies the module makes it extremely accessible, and the fact that it can be consumed on mobile, tablet and laptop will make it appeal to an even more diverse audience.’
Bob Garvey said ‘I’m delighted with how this mentoring portal turned out. It is packed with help, guidance, support and challenge, in an accessible format that we think organisations will find hugely beneficial. It’s been a great experience from start to finish working with Marshalls. They have been deeply responsive, collaborative, supportive, encouraging and very professional.’
Each topic can be accessed at any time and in any order and is accompanied by a video lecture located in the Resources section, alongside further material on any of the topics in this module.
Some of the key takeaways from this course are knowledge and understanding of the critical importance of building rapport and establishing ground rules; demonstrating the use of a process framework in mentoring; making informed critical and ethical judgements about the theory and practice of mentoring as well as demonstrating key skills of listening and questioning.
