TestReach Launches Exam Candidate Interface in 10 Languages, including Mandarin, Russian and Portuguese
TestReach, providers of innovative technology that allows exams to be created, invigilated and marked online, today announced the launch of an extended range of languages for their exam candidate interface.
The exam interface covers the range of screens and messaging with which candidates engage in order to book and taker their exam, or to connect with their online invigilator. The TestReach exam candidate interface is now available in 10 languages, including Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, German, French, Spanish and Irish. This launch coincides with the Learning Technologies event running in Excel, London, on 12th and 13th February 2020.
The new language features unveiled at Learning Technologies provide a solution to a major challenge facing any large training or awarding organisation, which is to provide flexible, computer-based assessments and examinations for any candidate in any location worldwide. While it has always been possible to rollout questions and tests on TestReach in any language, this launch means organisations now have more language options that present the full exam experience to candidates, and it will be easier for candidates to navigate through their exam and connect to their remote supervisor, no matter what their language preference.
“Working with our client companies, we are aware of the pressure on assessment teams to provide all learning and examinations conveniently, and in a local language,” said Louella Morton, Executive Director at TestReach. “Because TestReach can deliver exams through many different methods, including remote invigilation or online proctoring, it gives organisations the flexibility to run a secure exam anywhere, without the need for test centres. Now with the exam canvas available in multiple languages, the ease with which remotely invigilated can be run worldwide has increased even further,” she added.
TestReach was originally set up in response to the massive increase in demand for qualifications globally, a demand that cannot be met by running exams in a traditional manner. “While there have been huge advancements in the options for learning, such as immersive learning and virtual classrooms, very little has changed with how exams are run. Candidates still have to go to exam halls and sit exams via paper with essays and multiple choice questions. We set out to change that. The ability to create an exam online, run that exam anywhere and have it professionally invigilated over the web by trained supervisors is transforming the assessment process,” said Sheena Bailey, CEO, TestReach.
TestReach technology enables organisations to create, deliver and mark exams online rather than on paper. While online assessment is not new, what is unique about TestReach is that it’s a single application to create exams and run them in a number of ways, including via remote invigilation delivery. So a candidate can take an exam anywhere and be invigilated over the web by a trained TestReach supervisor, who monitors them continuously using audio, video and remote screen share, to make sure there is no cheating. This gives flexibility to both candidates and the organisations who run exams, and massively reduces the administrative burden.
