The Training Foundation and the Institute of IT Training have today entered into a formal five-year Agreement to extend the successful relationship through which best-in-class training programmes are provided to IITT members.
Under the Agreement, The Training Foundation will provide Institute members with an enlarged range of CPD courses covering all key workplace roles across the spectrum of face-to-face training and e-Learning. The Agreement is expected to result in gross revenues in excess of £10m to The Training Foundation over five years.
Colin Steed, Chief Executive of the IITT said, "We have been delighted with the results that The Training Foundation has achieved for our members over the last five years. We are one of the few Institutes for which continuing professional development is a mandatory requirement for membership and it is essential that IITT-accredited courses provide both high-quality skills transfer and excellent value for money to members."
"The Training Foundation's TAP and CeLP certification programmes are now widely recognised across both the public and the private sectors, and both certifications are of course recognised by the IITT towards its membership requirements. The close working relationship which we enjoy with the Foundation ensures that all our members, whatever their specialism, will be able to continue their personal professional development via a wide range of skills programmes."
Since 1998 The Training Foundation has provided a Continuous Professional Development programme for Institute members, providing a range of skills development courses for both classroom training and e-learning.
To date The Training Foundation has trained more than 4,000 IITT members via their Trainer Assessment Programme (TAP) and Certified e-Learning Professional programme (CeLP). The IITT has provided external verification and certification to successful delegates.

TAP comprises five certifications, each based on objective assessment models. These are: Training Delivery, Facilitation, Training Design & Development, Coaching, and Learning Centre Support.
About the Certified e-Learning Professional programme (CeLP)
CeLP comprises some 300 learner hours of tutor-supported e-Learning and leads to five certified tracks; tutor, trainer, developer, manager and consultant.
