The Training Foundation awarded e-Learning Services Framework Contract by Inland Revenue & HM Customs & Excise
The Commissioners of Inland Revenue and HM Customs and Excise today announced that The Training Foundation has been awarded a Framework Agreement contract to provide e-Learning services. These services will also be made available to all other government departments.

“We are particularly pleased that our contract forms part of a Framework Agreement that can be utilised by other Government departments, providing a fast-track for procurement of the vital e-learning skills training needed to support the growing public sector take-up of e-learning. We are already in discussion with at least one organisation that wishes to make use of this facility.”
“The Training Foundation team is looking forward to welcoming more delegates from Inland Revenue, Customs & Excise and other Government departments, adding to the total of more than 2,000 people that have so far achieved the status of certified e-Learning professionals via the CeLP programme.”

About IR Learning
Inland Revenue (IR) Learning is responsible for ensuring that Inland Revenue investments in learning produce the right number of people, with the right skills, knowledge and behaviour, at the right time to deliver business today and tomorrow. IR Learning provides the strategic direction for learning and supports all training and developmental opportunities for all Inland Revenue people. There are approximately 1500 people with roles within IR Learning in the various locations around the United Kingdom. The new IR Learning e-Learning Services Framework Agreement is structured in 4 lots with an estimated total value of £600,000 per annum. In total 8 suppliers were awarded contracts for e-Learning Services on 30th June 2004. All services will be required "as and when" with the best interest of the taxpayer and the interests of the department to be considered at all times.
