THRIVE’s Senior Graphic Designer, Tim Shelton, takes home the Gold Learning Developer of the Year Award for his next-level creative contribution to Content Club and impressive portfolio, at the Learning Technologies Awards

This year’s Learning Technologies Awards ceremony returned to London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel for its 2022 edition. The awards recognise and celebrate the commitment, enthusiasm and passion for learning technologies shared by suppliers and organisations across the world.

THRIVE’s Senior Graphic Designer, Tim Shelton, secured the Gold Award for Learning Developer of the Year. After joining THRIVE when the company launched in 2018, Tim has been the driving force behind the design strategy for both THRIVE, and their off-the-shelf elearning offering, the Content Club as well as building their own in-house authoring tool, Lucid.

Having created over 300 learning resources in his time at THRIVE, Tim has had a huge impact on his company and his customers which include PwC, Ford, Pizza Express, John Lewis and Royal Mail.

Speaking about working with Tim, Helen Marshall, Head of Learning at THRIVE said:

"Never one to turn down a challenge, Tim will also come up with a new idea or solution at the drop of a hat, and thinks outside the box to get the best and most creative results."

Whilst Mark Ward, Co-Founder at THRIVE talks about Tim’s unique ways of working:

“A key to Tim’s success is the way that he listens to his team and understands the areas where they may be struggling with new concepts or ways of working. He supports the wider team through mentoring, documentation and videos and also helps the wider business understand the challenges being faced as part of production.”

THRIVE also secured the Bronze Best Learning Platform Implementation award for its collaborative submission with global casino-entertainment company, Bally’s Interactive.  Just months after implementation, B-HIVE, their THRIVE Learning & Skills Platform has transformed the learning for Bally’s, with increased adoption, through the roof engagement and a brand new user-led experience all whilst halving the average cost per learning hour in just two months.

Director of Learning and Development at Ballys, Martin Lewis Knowles commented:

“Really chuffed to get recognised for an award with tough competition and great teamwork all the way with THRIVE. It’s a joy to partner with you all on this!”
