Towards Maturity releases new 'Spotlight on Finance' report and announces Brightwave sponsorship of Towards Maturity Finance Benchmarking Group

London, UKLearning NewsTowards Maturity

Towards Maturity announces the release of the new “Spotlight on Finance” report which profiles Learning & Development activity across the finance industry from a wealth of benchmarking data. The Finance sector is analysed and compared against top learning companies across all sectors who are achieving the highest impact in the workplace using learning technologies.

One of Towards Maturity’s founding Ambassadors, Brightwave, has demonstrated its commitment to the finance sector with the sponsorship of the on-going Towards Maturity Finance Industry Benchmark Group. The sponsorship kicks-off a series of activities to support the effective use of learning technologies in the financial sector.

Following the release of the report, Towards Maturity and Brightwave will be hosting an exclusive event in London on 11th June for senior L&D professionals in the finance sector.  Laura Overton, Managing Director of Towards Maturity, will explore findings from the report through a series of expert panel perspectives on the three top issues arising from the results: aligning L&D with the business; streamlining of the learning offerings and shifting to new models of learning. There will be a facilitated discussion digging deeper into these critical areas.

This meeting is the second of a series of events linked to the Towards Maturity Finance Benchmarking Forum. One of the original participants of the forum, Laura Pettitt, Head of L&D at Bupa International, comments: ‘Our organisation has used the Towards Maturity Benchmark to help us independently establish strong foundations for a learning strategy that will underpin future business success. As a member of the Towards Maturity Finance Benchmark Group we are looking forward to working with others in our sector to learn and grow together. My intention is that through collaboration of good practice, we become a driving force throughout our industry as well as beyond, in terms of what world class L&D looks like

Laura Overton, MD at Towards Maturity, said:
Over the last 10 years, the finance sector has formed the largest group in the Towards Maturity Benchmark to formally compare their learning practices with their peers. These improved findings are shared in the new "Spotlight on Finance Report" which will be free to all participants at the Benchmark forum. This benchmark forum provides an informal environment for participants to share practical hints and tips to help each other get started and overcome common challenges. We are pleased to be able to draw upon these significant insights from the good practices uncovered by the formal benchmark process and the collective wisdom of the benchmarking group without re-inventing the wheel.”

Charles Gould, Managing Director at Brightwave, said:
"We are proud to support the work of Towards Maturity, whose values chime so well with our own, in the pursuit of raising the bar for learning innovation, best practice and business impact.

Over the last 10 years, Brightwave has been fortunate to work with many of the finance organisations contributing to this important study. They have a genuine enthusiasm to be among the pioneers of next generation learning – continuous, more personalised learning – that will deliver business results for an industry in the midst of change that surpasses that of almost any other".

TheSpotlight on Finance’ Report will be available to all participants at the Finance Group Benchmark Forum on the 11th of June. It can also be accessed via the Towards Maturity Shop at www.towardsmaturity.org/shop.
