The IITT and the University of Cambridge, through its Institute of Continuing Education (ICE), have agreed the terms of a strategic alliance that will see the two organisations work in partnership.

The agreement is the first of its kind for the IITT and will promote the benefits of the Institute to the University’s students and to those working within, or wishing to enter, the Learning and Development profession.

The University of Cambridge is one of the world's oldest universities and leading academic centres. Earlier this month the University became the first British university to top the QS World University Rankings, which measure research quality, graduate employment and teaching standards.
Initially the IITT and ICE will work together to promote the University of Cambridge Postgraduate Diploma in Training, Learning and Development.
As of September 1st 2010 all students awarded the new Postgraduate Diploma will automatically qualify for IITT Fellowship.

IITT, Chief Executive, Colin Steed said: “Working with a world-renowned Institution such as the University of Cambridge is a great honour for the IITT. The University’s Postgraduate Diploma in Training, Learning and Development will be welcomed with open arms by the industry as a qualification that combines in-depth analysis of learning issues with a genuine concern for real-world problems.”
