A Night of Innovation, Impact, and Game-Changing Achievements in Workplace Learning.

LONDON, 14 February 2025: More than 800 international guests from the workplace learning and development sector gathered in London for the 29th annual Learning Awards, a night dedicated to recognising innovation, excellence, and achievement in workplace learning.

Hosted exclusively by the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI), the Learning Awards is regarded as the premier awards ceremony in the L&D industry. This year’s event, held at the prestigious JW Marriott Grosvenor House London, was presented by renowned British TV and radio personality Claudia Winkleman.

With submissions from 56 countries, the 2025 awards saw a record-breaking number of entries, reflecting the global impact of workplace learning initiatives. A panel of 64 industry leaders meticulously evaluated the nominations, ensuring a rigorous and independent judging process.

“The Learning Awards is not just about recognising excellence; it’s about showcasing the incredible impact that learning professionals and organisations have on people’s lives and careers,” said Edmund Monk, CEO of the LPI. “This year’s record-breaking entries demonstrate how innovation in workplace learning continues to transform businesses and empower individuals worldwide.”

The evening began with an opening address from Edmund Monk, followed by the LPI Charity Auction in support of Dreamflight, a UK charity that takes seriously ill or disabled children on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Florida. The LPI has been a longstanding supporter of Dreamflight, rallying the L&D community to raise significant funds for this cause.

The headline partner for the 29th Annual Learning Awards was Microsoft, further reinforcing the event’s status as a leading platform for recognising excellence in learning and development.
