Project Management Institute selects D2L Brightspace to power global learning ecosystem
The Project Management Institute (PMI), the global authority for project professionals, is overhauling its digital learning ecosystem in a move to deliver more personalised, career-aligned learning at scale.
With nearly 750,000 members across more than 200 countries, PMI plays a critical role in shaping project management capabilities worldwide. Its updated strategy aims to offer more adaptive learning paths tailored to individual career goals, part of a broader commitment to career-long development and organisational success.
To support this transformation, PMI has selected D2L Brightspace as its new learning platform following a comprehensive evaluation. The partnership will help PMI deliver timely, flexible, and targeted learning experiences to a growing international community of project professionals.
John Baker, CEO of D2L, said: ‘We’re proud to support PMI as they drive more meaningful and sustainable change across industries and empower professionals at every stage of their careers.’
The announcement follows D2L’s recent partnership with the University of the People, a tuition-free online university serving 150,000 students worldwide. The university is replacing its current LMS with D2L Brightspace and adopting D2L’s AI-enabled tools, including Lumi for scalable course creation, Creator+ for interactive content design, and Performance+ for analytics, to enhance engagement, streamline teaching, and support student success at scale.
