Essential career skills for personal assistants at Office*
Reed Learning, the UK’s top provider of office management courses, will share its expertise and insight, with PAs, EAs and office managers, at the forthcoming Office* event taking place at London Olympia this month.
Reed Learning will be sharing its wisdom through a series of master-class seminars at this year’s Office* event for PAs, EAs, VAs and Office Managers. Four of Reed Learning’s expert tutors will be providing career-enhancing skills, such as improving creative thinking, managing time and communicating effectively.
Emily Courtney, Reed Learning’s Head of Talent, praised professional assistants for the wide range of skills they need to do a good job: “A great PA needs to be an organisational wizard, a negotiator, a trouble-shooter and an ambassador. We’re interested in showing talented PAs and EAs some new skills and techniques to enhance what they deliver to their organisations every day.”
Four one-hour master class seminars are planned:
- Juggling a busy workload
- How to be an even better Executive PA
- Communicating with Impact
- Breaking through the barriers - creative thinking tools
“I’d encourage any ambitious PA to check out Office* this October and take in one or more of our master class seminars. Each one is led by an expert tutor. They are packed with tips and insights such as: manage conflicting priorities, staying calm under pressure, contributing to the management team, using body language and voice more effectively, how to come up with a genius idea, reframe a problem and using creativity mapping tools. Each is packed full with and career-enhancing skills,” added Emily Courtney.
The hour-long sessions all take place in the Reed Theatre during this year’s Office* event, London Olympia on 8 and 9 October 2013 and cost £39 each. Session timings and advance booking is available via www.officeshow.co.uk as part of event registration for Office*.
