Reed Learning launches Little Book of Inspiration at Learning Technologies 2014
Reed Learning launches the 'Little Book of Inspiration' in partnership with the Learning & Skills Group at the Learning Technologies and Learning and Skills Exhibitions 2014.
Reed Learning is launching the next in its award-winning series of Little Books for L&D professionals. 'The Little Book of Inspiration: By Pioneering Thinkers from the Learning & Development World" will be launching at Learning Technologies and Learning and Skills 2014, on the 29th & 30th of January at London's Olympia II venue.
Following on from 2009's 'Little Book of Learning', 2011's 'Little Book of the Future', and 2013's 'Little Book of Impact', this book asks "How can we encourage self-directed learning at work?". This type of learning requires curiosity, motivation and the skills to go and discover new things. How can we inspire this kind of behaviour?
Contributions from 13 leaders and L&D commentators provide a wealth of thought-provoking insights. They include award-winning author Brian Solis, consultant for Kirkpatrick Partners Jim Kirkpatrick, acclaimed speaker and originator of the Adversity Quotient® Paul Stoltz and cognitive scientist Professor Guy Claxton.
The book combines inspiring design with fascinating content like:
- How do you harness adversity to inspire others?
- Can evaluation of training be used as a tool to inspire?
- Can you enforce curiosity?
- How does breathing help you learn?
Reed Learning will be giving away free printed copies of the book at Learning Technologies and Learning & Skills 2014. Visit Reed Learning at stand 57.
