The Training Foundation has announced the launch of TAP Academy www.tapacademy.com, its brand new online learning portal for Learning and Development Professionals undertaking TAP (the Training Accreditation Programme) Qualifications.
On February 10th a capacity audience of over sixty Education, Training and Development specialists from the NHS attended an event at The Training Foundation to learn more about blended learning, to find out about the TAP Learning System and to hear a presentation from Professor Philip Candy, Director of Education, Training and Development for the National Health Service's National Programme for Information Technology (Connecting for Health).
The Training Foundation has launched TAP TV, a dedicated web TV channel, available from the TAP Skills website 24 hours a day, world-wide. In addition to video clips that chronicle the ten year history of the TAP Learning System viewers can see and hear learning and development professionals from a wide range of sectors talking about their own experiences and the benefits generated from achieving TAP training qualifications.
The Training Foundation, winners of the Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2005, were invited back to this year's winners celebratory event on April 24th held at the Gladstone Library, Whitehall, London in the presence of HRH the Princess Royal.
With an increasing number of organisations now adapting their training strategy to incorporate blended learning solutions that integrate a variety of face-to-face and online media, The Training Foundation has recognised the need as many trainers as possible to become conversant with the wide range of options available and the critical factors in making blended learning a success. The new TAP Certificate in Blended Learning, available via a two-day classroom course or online, provides the essential knowledge and skills trainers need to engage successfully with twenty-first century learning media.
